Board Members Wanted

The Southern Uplands Partnership is a charitable company working across the Scottish Borders, Dumfries & Galloway, Ayrshire and S Lanarkshire. Our mission is to keep people living and working sustainably in the Southern Uplands of Scotland. We are currently active in projects relating to rural tourism, access, community development, conservation and small scale renewable energy.

The Southern Uplands Partnership is currently looking for new directors to join the Board of the Company at the AGM on 1st July. Current Board members have a wide range of experience (from farming to community development, conservation to business management). They meet three times a year (usually in Moffat).  Board members are also encouraged to get involved in particular projects.

In these financially challenging times we particularly need new Board members who can help us develop a more sustainable model of working and new income streams that will ensure SUP can continue to build on the good work of the last 15 years.
This is an unpaid position, although we can cover reasonable travel expenses.

If you want to know more, please call Pip Tabor on 01750 725154. If you want to be considered, please send a copy of your CV with a covering letter outlining why you’d like to get involved to the Southern Uplands Partnership, Studio 2 Lindean Mill, Galashiels TD1 3PE to arrive by the 29th May.
