The project Board continues to slog through the state aid regulations and the ever-changing policy landscape with the aim of providing a future-proof broadband system to over 2000 properties in the rural hinterland.
Every time we think we are nearly there, we encounter a new issue to be addressed, but we remain optimistic that something will come of all the work that everyone has put in.
The good news is that we have the funds in place to get us through procurement, thanks to grants offered by Borders and Dumfries and Galloway LEADER Programmes and the SSE Langhope Rigg Windfarm Fund.
