Help us name a golden eagle

The South Of Scotland Golden Eagle Projecthave kindly asked us to name one of the new golden eagles. We’ve asked around the team and come up with 5 suggestions and its now over to you to help us make the final choice. 1. Criffel – that dominant hill south of Dumfries overlooking the Solway Firth
2. Ernie – A play on Ern, Erne, Earn that all mean eagle in Scots/Gaelic and feature in place names across southern Scotland
3. Flocht – Various meanings in Scots, including ‘on the wing’, flutter and excitement
4. Merrick – the highest hill in Southern Scotland, standing at 843 metres
5. Sulwarth – meaning ‘muddy ford’ and is now synonymous with the Solway Firth
