The Scottish Borders Heritage Festival is about to start. See the impressive programme at scottishbordersheritage.com and watch out for “lighting the Borders” – dozens of local buildings will be lit-up in blue as part of the year of History, Heritage and Archaeology.
Volunteers needed for the Borders Heritage Festival 2017 to enjoy performances and secure feedback from visitors.
Would you like to go to one of the exciting events in “Lighting the Borders” the spectacular opening weekend (1–3 September) for the Borders Heritage Festival? Twenty seven historic sites across the Scottish Borders will re-enact the lighting of signal fires and many locations will host events and performances. See full programme on website
The visitor feedback is vital for the Borders Heritage Festival in identifying where visitors come from, how long they spend in Scottish Borders and what they think of the events they have attended. Training and guidance will be provided in undertaking the questionnaires at sessions during the last 2 weeks of August.
If you would like to attend one of these events or any others in the month long Borders Heritage Festival programme, and would be happy to volunteer to undertake ten to fifteen questionnaires at the event with visitors, please get in touch with Susan Garnsworthy, Live Borders Funding and Projects Officer, susan.garnsworthy@liveborders1.org.uk or Julie Nock, BHF Coordinator on bordersheritagefestival@gmail.com
