A workshop on the proposed Climate Change Bill will be hosted by Greener Melrose and run by the Scottish Communities Climate Action Network. The event takes place at The Ormiston Institute in Melrose, on 14th September 2017, from 5.30 pm for a 6.00 pm start, finishing around 9.00 pm. The aim of the workshop is to provide detailed information about the proposed Scottish Government Climate Change Bill, currently out to consultation, and then to brainstorm responses on the night – the idea being to get as many people as possible across Scotland to have a voice in this important piece of legislation. The evening should be fun, and there will be food (sandwiches, quiche, fruit) and coffee/tea to make it more tempting for people coming straight from work.
The workshop is one of 6 run by SCCAN across Scotland, and the only one in the South of Scotland. Please register for the free event on the SCCAN website: http://www.scottishcommunitiescan.org.uk/how-do-you-think-scotland-should-deal-with-climate-change-join-our-climate-change-bill-policy-consultations-and-make-your-voice-heard/ so that they have an idea of numbers.
